Apple with draws from EPEAT certification

The EPEAT system was conceived and developed through the collaboration of stakeholders from the government , business, and academic areas. It is used by hundreds of companies in world.
Apple’s has with drawn itself from the EPEAT green electronics registry. Apple’s current MacBook Pro with Retina display is the likely reason behind the change, as it doesn’t adhere to EPEAT recyclability and repair standards.
Many corporations like Ford, HSBC, and Kaiser Permanente require their CIOs to purchase computers from sources that are EPEAT certified, the U.S. government requires that 95% of the electronics it purchases be EPEAT certified
